ImageHayes Barton Methodist Preschool is an important part of the Christian Education program of the church.  The school provides a Christian witness and service to the Church family and the community by providing preschool programs for young children. It began in 1986 and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The school’s calendar year generally begins after Labor Day and ends before Memorial Day. Preschool hours are from 9:30 – 12:30pm, with 4-year-olds eligible to stay for lunch bunch from 12:30-1:30 pm two days a week.

Mother's Morning Out
Our Mother's Morning Out program is a ministry to the community providing quality child care one or two mornings a week from 9:15 – 12:45 pm. The school day will include a free play activity period, a snack provided by the school, outdoor play, craft or music activity time, and lunch provided by the parent.

ImageOur program provides a friendly atmosphere where children can work and play with other children their own age. In each class, there are 8 children with 2 teachers. Classes are available for children from 9 months to 17 months old on Wednesdays or Thursdays, and for children 18 months to 26 months on Tuesdays and/or Fridays.

Registration Information
Registration for the upcoming school year takes place in the month of January with forms available for pickup in the preschool department.  The deadline to mail or turn in the forms is the second Friday in February.  For 2007, the fee to register a child for Mother's Morning out is $98 and for preschool is $180.  This registration fee is returned if the child is not placed in a class, and the child will be placed on the waiting list.  If the deadline has passed, a child may still be placed on the waiting list without the cost of a fee.  Please contact the school at 832-9535 for more information.
 
Tuition
  • Quarterly tuition due dates: May 1st, October 1st and February 1st.  A $20.00 late fee applies if not received two weeks following the due date.  Bills are mailed only if payment is late.

Inclement Weather
  • If the Wake County Public Schools are closed, Hayes Barton Preschool and MMO are closed.
  • If the public schools open one hour late, the Preschool and MMO will open 30 minutes late (10:00).
  • If the public schools open two hours late, the Preschool and MMO will open one hour late (10:30).
  • If Wake County schools close early, the Preschool and MMO will close immediately.
  • If there are more than three (3) days that the Preschool and MMO are closed for inclement weather, the missed days will be made up during the week following the regularly scheduled closing, extending through the last week in May.
  • There will be no tuition refund for days that cannot be made up by the Preschool and MMO.
