Fellowship Hour - Fellowship Ministry coordinates the Sunday morning “Fellowship Hour”, where coffee, juice and breakfast treats are made available on the patio (weather permitting) or inside the church. These refreshments are available after the 8:30 service until the start of the 11:00 service. Please join us! Wednesday Evening Fellowship - From September through May, the entire church body has the opportunity to meet for a prepared supper in the Church Fellowship Hall on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. Cost is minimal. Call the church office to make reservations before noon Mondays. After a relaxed time of eating and fellowship and a brief time of sharing, we engage in Bible Study or workshops on a variety of topics. Children are also involved in Bible Study and choir programs. Older youth may participate in other activities. Child care is available. Each year in early Fall, our Wednesday night program features 5 weeks of bible study taught by Dr. Mickey Efird, a local favorite. |

The membership of United methodist Men is made up of every adult male member of Hayes Barton UMC. Each one is invited to participate in our programs and projects. The purpose of the Methodist Men is to: - enjoy good fellowship
- deepen our spiritual lives
- strengthen and enhance the role of men in the church
- challenge, inspire and motivate service in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Hayes Barton United Methodist Men are organized around a dinner meeting held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM. Dinner is followed by a brief business meeting and then a program. Program topics vary depending on the interests of the group and important issues facing our congregation and denomination. We also undertake a number of projects. Some are short term, like taking inventory of church property. Others are longer term, such as helping build our church's Habitat for Humanity home. Others are longer term still, like the endowment of the Hayes Barton United Methodist Men scholarship fund. We believe you will find United Methodist Men a meaningful and rewarding way to enter the life of this church. |

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship at Hayes Barton seeks to shape a Christ-centered ministry in which the youth of our church and community may participate. With the understanding that the Church is the body of Christ at work in the world, we hope to bring young persons to a new encounter with Jesus Christ, through a ministry of sharing and caring. We try to foster this attitude in all aspects of our youth program: a weeknight Bible study for youth; a regular Sunday evening youth program and light dinner; two annual beach retreats (one in conjunction with the Sunday school); service and mission projects; special events; conference programs; and parent-teen activities. In these ways we seek to nurture youth in the Christian faith and draw them closer to the grace of the living Christ. The UMYF is an accepting, caring community within the church, seeking to meet and minister to youth where they need it most -- right where they are. Then they can grow in the accepting and forgiving love of God. |
