Growing in Love Fund

Growing In Love Fund

When we are rooted in Christ… then we grow in love… in love for one another. Jesus teaches us to be Good Samaritans… to care for our neighbors…to not walk by on the other side when there is need.

We provide an incredible outreach to those neighbors that walk through our church doors and are in need of assistance. The Pastor’s Discretionary Fund provides an immediate opportunity to address these concerns on a daily basis.

There is a growing concern for our neighbors sitting next to us on the pews who may need our hand as they walk through difficulty. A Growing in Love Fund can provide financial assistance to those church members, the members of this body that we must not pass by when they are weighed down with financial struggle.

Hayes Barton UMC Launches “Growing in Love” Fund
Saturday, September 18th, 2010, 6:00 - 7:30 pm – Fellowship Hall

We will have an evening filled with food, some of our best talent - as we give to help our brothers and sisters in great need. There is no charge for the evening – but in a generous spirit we pray that you will give a love offering for this great cause. The evening will be informative and inspiring. To RSVP, call 832-6435 or go to http://hbumcgrowinginlove.eventbrite.com by Sept. 13.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry offers Christ’s love and care to individuals experiencing difficult or troubling times.  Stephen Ministers are caring and sharing Christian friends who desire to walk beside you when you are hurting, who will really listen, offer resources and referrals if needed, and pray with you and for you. Spiritual care giving allows God to provide the cure by using our trained Stephen Ministers as His faithful servants.

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
