We are one body in Christ. To fulfill God’s mission for our church, we must all work together and know one another. At Hayes Barton UMC, we are fortunate to have a large, active membership; but this blessing brings the challenge of staying connected. Our Fellowship Ministry was created to be intentional about the cultivation of interpersonal relationships within the church. We do this through a series of annual and regularly offered events, which bring together members of all ages. Events are typically advertised through the church newsletter, the bulletin, this website, and church-wide emails. There’s room for your gifts and talents on our team! If you are interested in joining this ministry, please contact the Ministry Chairperson listed below. Our Purpose: To build community within our congregation by providing opportunities for cross-generational fellowship through annual events and regular activities. We are currently in the process of creating additional fellowship opportunities. Please stay tuned…

The Missions Committee has prayerfully adopted the following projects for 2007-2008. We invite and encourage members of the congregation to participate in these projects as volunteers who can make a vital difference in the lives of others. Come with a friend or family member and experience a new challenge and joy as you “move beyond the cradle” and eagerly serve others.

Prayer
( 10 items )
In Luke 19:46, Jesus said, "My house shall be a house of prayer." It is the fervent hope and goal of the Prayer Ministry Committee that this statement would be true for Hayes Barton United Methodist Church. We believe that prayer has a powerful effect on our world. James 5:16 teaches us that "the prayers of a righteous man are powerful and effective." When we pray, it truly makes a difference in the lives of those we pray for and draws us closer to the Lord. Our Purpose: To provide opportunities and encourage church members to grow in their prayer life and relationship with the Lord; to be more intentional about praying for one another, the concerns of the church, the community and our world.
