It is a gift to know we can lay down our burdens and let go of our control. It is reassuring to hear the words of Jesus saying to us that we can trust God to care for us. And in those same words we are to hear a call. Part of living out God’s command to trust, to seek the Kingdom of God and God’s righteousness, is to follow the will of God…living in loving community, living out the healing, teaching, ministry we see in the life of Jesus Christ. Clothe yourself not in the worries of your life but in the beauty of God’s righteousness. And you, like the lilies of the field, will be clothed in great glory.
