Knowing the Unknown God

The people of Athens, despite their willingness to embrace a wide range of faith and philosophy, have still made an altar “to an unknown god,” an admission in stone that they might never find the god they were seeking. Paul knew that, while the people might be searching for the true God, they had stopped short and opted for a quicker answer. Life with God is not a quick and easy thing. It is a relationship that requires nurture.
