The Support Pathway...
...lifts up those who are facing struggles and offers avenues through which Hayes Barton members can serve their fellow brothers and sisters within in this congregation. It is the desire of this congregation to care for one another and to build up the body of Christ. We want to know when someone is struggling so that we might be a helpful, comforting presence to them.

What Is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system. These congregations equip and empower lay caregivers — called Stephen Ministers — to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.
Stephen Ministers receive valuable training on listening, gaining insights, and providing emotional support for those in need. Hear from a Stephen Minister who also became a care receiver. If you or a loved one would like a caregiver to support and listen to you, please contact our Support Pathway.
How Stephen Ministry Works
The best way to understand how Stephen Ministry works is to learn about three groups of people involved in this ministry: Stephen Leaders, Stephen Ministers, and care receivers. Learn more here.
