HB Student Ministry

BUILDING A YOUTH MINISTRY TO INSPIRE OUR STUDENTS TO GROW INTO RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST, BECOMING LIFE-LONG DISCIPLINES WHO WORSHIP GOD, SERVE OTHERS, AND LOVE THEIR NEIGHBORS.
JOY class is the Sunday school portion of the HBUMC’s student programming.
Typically the JOY Class is held from 10:00-10:50am on Sunday mornings. The JOY class has been a part of HBUMC for more than 50 years, and extends beyond the Sunday school hour through service projects, celebrations and the annual beach retreat. The JOY class is built on the motto of 3 letters J, O, Y, standing for Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last.

We hope you'll join us this Sunday!
UMYF is often referred to as "youth group.” During the school year, youth in grades 6-12 are invited to the fellowship hall from 5:00pm - 7:00 pm. We will begin with games, eat dinner together, and then break off into age specific groups. We end with a special time of reflection in the sanctuary. Our programs help youth grow in faith and connect to everyday life.

Youth Sunday nights are designed with intentional and fun games, relational fellowship and faithful reflection. This is the perfect place for youth to engage for the first time with our ministry and to bring friends.

The cost for dinner is $10.
